Safety

Blue Planet Consulting employ qualified health and safety professionals that specialise in engineering, construction and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 to ensure that designs meet statutory health and safety requirements, contractors are managed and controlled and work is carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation. Blue Planet can also take on the role of CDM Co-ordinator and are ideally placed to liaise with the Client, Principal Contractor and other contractors to ensure that they discharge their duties. To improve safety standards, Blue Planet can also provide health and safety training, through our sister company Health & Safety Training Solutions Limited.

Blue Planet understands the need for stringent control measures to be put in place for the control of contractors. From a health and safety perspective, contractors' method statements and risk assessments need to be reviewed and the work needs to be monitored to ensure it is carried out in an approved manner in accordance with approved change control procedures. Permits to work are an effective control measure to ensure access to equipment is limited only to authorised personnel.

Business continuity is dependent on work being done in the approved way and limited to authorised equipment. Change control is an effective way of managing who does what and when
